The
Coos Curry Douglas Regional Investment board is seeking input from the
public on a six-year Strategic Plan as follows:
The Oregon Legislature establishes and funds this program with the
Oregon State Lottery funds to
achieve the following priorities:

Support
the region's communities which have been left out of Oregon’s
economic expansion and diversification.

Help
companies that are starting up or are already in business in our
Region to compete globally.
-
Ensure
that the strategies developed to enhance economic and community
development in the region reinforce the Region's long-term prosperity
and liveablilty.
-
Coordinate
regional efforts for economic and community development, education,
workforce development, natural resource management, and other civic
activities.
The Board of
Commissioners of each county appoint six (6) members to the Regional Board
for a total of eighteen (18) members which include:
one (1) county commissioner, one (1) city representative, one (1)
“at large” member, and three (3) representatives from the private
sector. Currently Douglas
County fills one of its private sector seats with one (1) tribal member,
and Curry County fills one of its private sector seats with one (1) port
representative. The Regional
